چکیده

Splice connection consisting of slip-critical high strength bolt and side plate is a promising type for future modular construction. However, recognitions on basic performance this are still limited. To fill gap, paper conducted comprehensive research bending behavior simple splice proposed by the authors corner-supported steel building. The was analyzed in details combined experiments numerical simulations. It found that can achieve favorable ductile bending. Bilinear profile with two stages clearly observed relationship between moment rotation. These have different stiffness but applied load keep increasing second stage excessive deformation specimen. Such phenomenon reveals adequate reserve resistance under large scenario. Based method farthest point, transition point defined determined This represents an important change behavior, which valuable practical design. Numerical simulations also introduced to supplement tests. analyses stress states components variation pre-tension force properly explains anisotropy at loading directions. A parametric study further conducted. Results indicate possesses satisfactory tolerance loss

Corner Crack Effect on the Seismic Behavior of Steel Plate Shear Wall System

Although, experimental studies have reported fracture at the corner of Steel Plate Shear Walls (SPSW), no study has been performed to investigate the crack effect, yet. Therefore, in this paper, the effect of crack at the corner of SPSWs on the seismic behavior of the system was investigated. Two probable cracks, that have been studies at the corner of SPSWs utilizing extended Finite Element me...

PREDICTION OF BIAXIAL BENDING BEHAVIOR OF STEEL-CONCRETE COMPOSITE BEAM-COLUMNS BY ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK

In this study, the complex behavior of steel encased reinforced concrete (SRC) composite beam–columns in biaxial bending is predicted by multilayer perceptron neural network. For this purpose, the previously proposed nonlinear analysis model, mixed beam-column formulation, is verified with biaxial bending test results. Then a large set of benchmark frames is provided and P-Mx-My triaxial ...

Compactly supported cohomology of buildings

Suppose (W,S) is a Coxeter system. A subset T ⊂ S is spherical if it generates a finite subgroup of W . S denotes the poset of spherical subsets of S. Let Φ be a building in the sense of [6] (i.e., Φ is a set of chambers, equipped with a family of adjacency relations indexed by S and a W -valued distance function, Φ×Φ→W ). Let A denote the set of finitely supported Z-valued functions on Φ (i.e....

Supported Semantics for Modular Systems

Modular systems offer a language-independent declarative framework in which modules from different languages are combined to describe a conceptually and/or computationally complex problem. The original semantics developed to combine modules in a modular system is a model-theoretical semantics with close ties to relational algebraic operations. In this paper, we introduce a new semantics for mod...

Seismic Behavior of Prefabricated Column-Footing Connection

Results of an experimental investigation of the seismic performance of prefabricated column-footing connections are presented. Tests were conducted on six 1/4-scale prefabricated column specimens inserted into prefabricated footings in two Groups. Group-1 consisted of four specimens, which were tested under constant axial load and cyclic inelastic lateral displacements. The remaining two specim...
